    Ingredients
      

    • 1 cup Ice
    • 0.5 Banana frozen
    • 0.5 Orange fresh, peeled and separated
    • 2 tsp Orange Zest from orange
    • ¾ cup Greek Yogurt
    • 0.5 scoop Protein Powder
    • 1 tbsp Ground Flaxseed
    • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
    • ½ cup Bran Flakes
    • 2 tbsp Almonds slivered or sliced recommended

    Directions
     

    1. To a high-speed blender, combine all ingredients except the bran flakes and almonds. Blend until ingredients are well combined, smooth, and creamy. Pro tip: whenever you think your smoothie is done let it blend for 2 more minutes for a deliciously whippy consistency!
    2. Pour it into a glass, top with a bit of granola if desired, and enjoy!

    Notes

    • Mango also works well in place of either the banana or orange, if those flavors/ingredients aren’t your thing.
    • Try adding 1/8th tsp of xanthan gum or 1 tsp vanilla pudding mix for extra thickness and to prevent melting.
    • You can turn this recipe into a Ninja Creami by making it with 1 cup of water instead of milk, freezing for 12+ hours and mixing on the light setting. After the first mix, re-spin, adding with a splash of milk, 1-2 times to reach desired consistency.
