Crispy, melty, savory, and oh-so-satisfying, this protein rich sandwich brings all the flavor without the fuss. Plus? It’s meal prep friendly by simply cooking the meat ahead of time and assembling the day of or making the whole sandwich in advance.

    Ingredients
      

    • 4 oz ground turkey
    • 1 tsp worcestershire sauce
    • 2 slices bread
    • 1 oz cheddar cheese
    • red onion sliced
    • ¼ cup pickles
    • 1 tsp mustard
    • 1 tbsp ketchup
    • 1 tsp mayo
    • ½ cup carrots

    Directions
     

    1. Brown the turkey with Worcestershire sauce in a pan over medium heat for 5–7 minutes, until fully cooked.
    2. Lay down one slice of bread and top with half the cheese, the cooked turkey, red onion, pickles, mustard, ketchup, and the remaining cheese. Top with the second slice of bread. Spread half the mayo onto the top slice of bread.
    3. Place the sandwich mayo-side down in a pan over medium heat and cook for 2–3 minutes, until golden.
    4. While it cooks, spread the remaining mayo on the top slice of bread. Flip the sandwich and cook for another 2–3 minutes, until crispy and the cheese is melted.
    5. Slice in half and serve with carrots. Enjoy!

    Notes

    • Add a slice of tomato or a few spinach leaves for extra freshness. For an extra flavor boost, try mixing a dash of garlic powder or hot sauce into the mayo before spreading.
    • To meal prep, cook the meat in advance and set aside to assemble the day of.
    • If you’d like to prepare the entire sandwich you can simply reheat it in the microwave or air fryer at 375 for a few minutes (air fryer will give you nice crispy outsides!)
