A revamped take on classic 5-layer dip, reimagined as a balanced lunch bowl. 

Creamy cottage cheese packs a one-two punch giving the creamy nature of sour cream and with the cheesy flavor of shredded cheese in one high-protein layer, while refried beans and avocado add fiber and staying power. 

Ground turkey gives an extra flavor and protein punch!

    Ingredients
      

    • 2 oz Ground Turkey
    • 1 tsp Taco Seasoning
    • 1/2 cup Cottage Cheese
    • 1/4 Avocado diced or mashed
    • 1/2 cup Refried Beans
    • 1 Roma Tomato diced
    • 1/2 oz Tortilla Chips

    Directions
     

    1. Heat a small skillet over medium heat. Cook ground turkey with taco seasoning until fully cooked, about 5–7 minutes. Set aside.
    2. If desired, blend cottage cheese until smooth for a sour-cream-like texture, or leave it chunky for more texture.
    3. Dice or mash the avocado. If mashing, season with a pinch of salt, pepper, and a splash of lemon or lime juice.
    4. To assemble, layer refried beans in the bottom of a bowl.
    5. Top with seasoned ground turkey, cottage cheese, avocado, and diced tomato. Optional: May add shredded lettuce if you’d like it more like a salad.
    6. Finish with crushed tortilla chips, grab a spoon and enjoy!

    Notes

    • Adjust spice with hot sauce, jalapeños, or spicy taco seasoning.
    • Works great as a dip, a burrito bowl base, or spooned into lettuce cups.
    • Sprinkle with green or red onions for added flavor.
    • May serve over shredded lettuce, if desired.
